We have celebrated some very special birthdays last month. Baby J turned one and my little rockstar turned 2!
Birthdays are very special for everyone in the house but also a good reflection for me personally. Birthdays are fun to see how much our kids have grown but also to remember that its an anniversary of something really tragic.
A year ago on that day was the scariest day for Baby J’s mom. She didn’t know how she was going to care for her new son. And Two years ago Rockstar’s mom was in a similar situation. I dont normally think about these babies mom’s. But however these babies came to us, the amount of hurt that all these mom’s must have is probably immeasurable.
On the flip side to that somber note...
I am so proud of my boys and how big they are growing. I enjoy telling them how wanted they are and how much I love them and Jesus too. I love kissing their cheeks and seeing their huge smiles on their faces.
Baby J I think has grown more than any baby in the house. He was sooo sick and in a lot of distress when he came to us. In less than 24 hours we had to readmit him to the hospital. He continues to surprise me everyday with the new things he can do. When he is very happy he loves to talk and smile at all of us Aunties. J has his own sensory box with different textures to expose him to. It is so funny to see how much he enjoys the feel of a towel. He loves the wind blowing on his face and sleeping. Love him to Pieces.

Oh my little Rockstar. I have known P since he was 7 months old and the love in my heart for him continues to grow everyday. He is the smartest two year old I have ever met. He pulls out full sentences at the craziest times. He loves puzzles and I find it hard to find something to challenge him with. The wooden puzzles Im pretty sure he could put together with his eyes closed. He counts to 10 and loves to put in the number 7 whenever he thinks necessary. His favorite song to sing is Jesus Loves Me and always asks me to play “Hallelujah” on my phone. (All Creatures by David Crowder Band)
